It appeared in my app some time ago. It said the same thing to me when I tried to play Battlefield 3 (I am from Brazil), and indeed the game still isn't sold in the EA Desktop App (as of now). Shame that the App is still in Beta.

I'm late to the party but for people running two steam controllers over a steam link, this is the solution that worked for me. Disable origin overlay from the origin settings.
