After over a decade of consistent updates, the current map can take a player a little under three hours to ride from one end of the map (Thorin's Hall) to the other (Mordor). Taking into account all of the zones on either side of that route, that's a lot of Tolkien's rich world to get lost in and explore.

A number of revisions ago, LOTRO was made "Solo Friendly." There is no longer a requirement for Fellowships (6 person groups) to make it through the Epic quest line as there once was. I've been playing since pre-beta (I'm a Founder / Lifetimer) and even though I belong to an active Kin (The Old Timers Guild) on Gladden, I play 99% of the time solo.

LOTRO will not launch from my steam library. When I click "play" my profile changes to say I'm in game, and other downloads are suspended. However, LOTRO does not launch, and after a few seconds, downloads resume and I'm no longer in-game. I validated the files, which redownloaded them. But this didn't fix anything, and afterwards I had the same problem. Any idea what is going on?
